The purpose of this forum is for people to acknowledge that they are, in fact, addicted to games. Remember, the Nile ain't just a river in Egypt. Fix the problem, you ask? No, no...I just want you to be at peace with what you are. Nothing needs to be fixed!

I will not admit to being an addict, but I have been gaming since I was a wee lad playing pong, then I moved up to the 2600 and so on.

Definitely have a game problem here it's not an issue for me but others would say it is not that I really care.

I used to have a pretty bad addiciton. I know its not a physical addiciton but it is definetaly mental. I mean I know kids who devote 10-12 hours a day on XBL. Truthfully I dont have that much time in my day with school, homework, and lacrosse.

I hate to admit. But back then when I was playing Everquest. Yeah I had a severe case of addiction. The whole spazzing out over things happening that did not make sense. As in I hear something which is now known to be sound card issues. And I was going ballistic trying to figure it out and argue with my parents as to how its the pc and not the game.

The actually came near to canceling my subscription back then. Cause I was "that" addicted. Social Wise. It wrecked me. Staying on it 24/7 just about. playing sick as much as I can just to play EQ. Boy do I regret those days. Lost myself a decent education and diploma later on in life.

But as of today. Its not as "that bad" as it was then. Sure if a game I anticipate for a long time hits store shelves or my pre-order is ready for pickup. Then I would spend a good amount (most likely up to a day and a half or so without sleep. Trying to finish it in one go) on the game.

Most recent one that had the effect of that..... Super Smash Bros. Brawl.

If I didn't have my addiction to video games, I wouldn't be with my bf.. I probably wouldn't be sane. So yes it affected my life, for the better.
