GS Polls: For games that don't get trophy support on the PS3, do you blame Sony's delay in rolling out the trophy structure or do you blame publishers for not wanting to go back and support older games?

some of the blame goes to sony but not all cuz developers are working on other projects with due dates and they could care less if PS3 owners have trophys or not cuz they already made their money selling the games, they would actually spend alittle more moeny paying someone to put trophys in the games and no profit come in

I'm sure sony never thought Acheivments would be as big a deal as they've become. If I am going to buy a game that's available on 360 and ps3, I'm going to chose the 360, bc of acheivments. It's understandable that sony would want to get into the action. As for implementing trophies for already released games, well, I'm sure that more copies of the game would sell, and it would give gamers a good reason to go back and play these games more thoroughly. PS3 has got to start working to appease its fanbase more if they want to continue to compete with the microsoft for a sales. I believe it's up to the publishers to go back and put them into games now though. Sony can't help with anything.

No. Clearly Sony got the whole idea from MS (snatch) so it was probably never on their itinerary to begin with. So imo, its hard to say its an actual "delay" on thier part because who knew MS was gonna that feature before hand? You can't really say someone's late with bringing something to the table that they had no prior knowledge of. Other than that, Sony needs to focus on getting their library up and less on snatching achievements gimmicks. Its a solid platform given the right support. No games, no "trophies".

I blame Sony's delay. Obviously most older games aren't going to be returned to to add trophies. And many games currently in development are already planned out and on a tight schedule, so they won't take the time to add trophies. Eventually they will be in all new releases.

Sony's delay for sure. If it would have originally been a feature I think all games would support it.

i blame both because the devs new it was coming cuz sony has been talkin bout that stuuf for quite a long time now so they should have atleast made the games compatible before it came out
